In Introduce Yourself
I am very young, only 16. I knew of C'thulhu and the other cosmic entities, but to me they were the melancholy yet entertaining manifestations of a man pushed to insanity. I was made to question my beliefs a few days ago when I had a dream. In the dream I could see nothing but a nearly pitch black haze. Besides the haze I heard something. Like a gurgle. I was terrified, but it was unsuited because looking back on it i have no reason to believe it was scary at all. It's almost like the dream projected fear into me. I woke up breathing heavily. My first thought waking up was the Mythos. I do not know why, but I was certain it has something to do with my dream. I did some research and I saw that the ancient ones often visited the world of the living through dreams. After more thorough searching I found that the gurgling could very well be the incomprehensible dialect of the ancients. I don't believe that my dream was real. There is a high likelyhood that I was reading something that reminded me of C'thulhu before I went to sleep, causing me to dream about it. The fear might have been invoked by my slight Claustrophobia and how enclosed I appeared to be in the almost pure darkness. I felt the need to share because all my friends just laughed and called me dumb for worrying.
