Same thing happened with his story "From Beyond"

If you are talking about adaptations of Lovecraft's work (not just the Mythos), his story "Herbert West: Reanimator" (which he actually wrote for a humor magazine) got adapted into 1985's Re-Animator.

Once I claw my way to the top of the corporation (long way up) I work at, it'll be on my list. If R'yleh is there, I may or may not take some samples (have to justify the trip to shareholders somehow), which I may or may not use to create a virus that turns people into squid "monsters".

That's partly what I'm worried about. What if a new sect was to decide murder or human sacrifice was an appropriate method to carry out the Work?

What about the loss of communication with each other? And can we plan around the formation of sects if one of us can't ascertain how go about the Work and goes on a different direction?
