DAGON RITUAL
This is a rite that I made. Do you have ever thrown a coin in the water at a harbor, in a fountain, or even in well-doing a wish? Of course, you have, all of us have including me. Congratulations you did a ritual of Dagon. The use of this ritual is for everyone for pantheists and for those who believe literally in the Old Ones. It does not matter what do you believe, because both are true simultaneously. And me myself combination of both. The purpose of this ritual is to use your cosmic powers in a combination with the cosmos too to bring something into your life. To me was occult knowledge. Now what it will be to you it is up to you. This will be analyzed more later. Now let's take a look at the mythos.
In the Cthulhu mythos, the Order of Dagon was a cult that worshiped the Deep Ones and Great Cthulhu. They were performing rituals at the Devil's Reef, a small rocky island that it was used as a kind of temple, performing their rites, calling Dagon, the Deep Ones, and doing sacrifices. They were sacrificing humans (which here the human sacrifice will be replaced with the practitioner's own blood) throwing a golden artifact at the water to call them. And in return, Dagon and his Deep Ones were giving them gold and fish. Those represent knowledge and a lesson for life.
"Fish" as knowledge for the occult and reality, and this "gold" is something better that I will let you to find out what is that "gold" to you.
Dagon can teach you things for reality and magick. Personally, he showed me the nature of the Old Ones. But this is for becoming his disciple which is something different and this is not the purpose I am writing this ritual. Dagon is a "worshiper of Cthulhu", his avatar or probably his creation, so this ritual is done in the name of Cthulhu, to keep the tradition.
WHAT DAGON, HYDRA, AND THE DEEP ONES REPRESENT?
Before I go further I must write what Dagon, Hydra, and the Deep ones represents.
Father Dagon and Mother Hydra are said that they live at the bottom of the ocean at the great city of Y'ha-nthlei. They had their children. We call them today as Deep Ones.
Dagon with his wife and children were discovered by a man called Yalakeia on a mysterious Island. He created a religion that is known today as The Esoteric Order of Dagon. Obed Marsh after so many years found this Island and he brought it, to the city of Innsmouth, freeing finally Innsmouth from Christianity. The Deep Ones started to work with the Innsmouth citizens, and in the end, they took the final oath of Dagon and they started to getting married with the deep ones. They raised children that looked like humans but in the end, they were becoming a deep one and returning back to the sea, to Y'ha-nthlei, to his mother and father. The scariest and sacred place of Innsmouth was the Devil's Reef, that the Marsh family were Summoning the deep ones and sometimes Dagon himself to give him sacrifices, and he in return was giving them plenty of fish and gold.
Let's analyze this quick story. Let's go back a long journey in the past...... where all life began. Every living creature we know was born to the ocean as a monocyte organism. After millions of years, these Monocytes got outside from the water. They started to getting shape. They became living creatures like birds, lizards, dinosaurs....humans. We all came from the sea. We are all Deep Ones. They represent the powers of the sea. Dagon is for males and Hydra is for females. So you can choose.

RITUAL AREA
Dagon is a god of the sea so it is obvious that this will be performed near big bodies of water. These can be lakes, rivers, or even wells; but the ruler is......the ocean. Find a quiet place at the beach that you will be alone. Only you and the Deep Ones. If the place is rocky then even better. If you like you can draw the sigil of Dagon there and now it will be some short of temple a meeting place with the Deep Ones. Now, this is YOUR Devil's Reef. It is a private place that is only for you and the Deep Ones, and if you share this space with other people then be sure that they are trustful enough to bring them there. It is a sacred space. It is highly recommended to perform this ceremony at night under the stars, especially under the moonlight, as the moon is the planetary sphere of Dagon, and it brings a more occult aesthetic.

RITUAL REQUIREMENTS
You won't need many things. You will need little and simple. This is a list of items that you will need and what will be used.
1) Bread (Not necessary)
The use of bread will be used to feed the animals that live in the water if there are at the place you will go. I use something to feed the fish before the ritual to show my respect to the sea.
2) An artifact that will represent Dagon or Hydra (it depends on which one you will choose).
This can be a sigil of Dagon or Hydra you can choose the one you like from occult books or from the internet. Here are some examples (Sadly there aren't sigils of Hydra, at least I have not found one so if you choose Hydra you will have to create one of your own).

(those three are some sigils and seals of Dagon)
3) Sacrifice
This can be something valuable, not necessarily materially but it can be something that is valuable for you emotionally.
Silver is an excellent idea, as Dagon like's silver. A silver coin or a silver item will be perfect for this use.
Obelisk of Dagon is a better idea to me, as you can sculpt it. In the mythos, it is an obelisk that had some glyphs that represented the Deep Ones and their worship of Cthulhu. The obelisk had fish, octopi, the Deep Ones, and Father Dagon killing a whale. For inspiration, you can read the story "Dagon" by H.P Lovecraft.
If you don't want to sculpt those at the obelisk then you can sculpt these symbols which have the same purpose:

Or you can sculpt one (or more) of the sigils of Dagon.
Use a material that is natural, materials as clay, stone, silver, iron, etc.
Put all of your creativity, let your fantasy work. Make it look as much beautiful as you can.
4)Rope
With the rope, you will tie the sacrifice. The reason will be explained later.
5)Incense
As incense, you can use plants that you can find near big bodies of water such as seaweed, waterlily etc .
6) Ritual Knife
7) A statue of Dagon or Hydra (Not necessary)
THE RITUAL
When you will be at your "Devil's Reef" start by cleaning your mind with Void Meditation.
Leave somewhere near to you the idol of the Deep One you chose(If you decided to use a statue) and sit down with your legs crossed. The left hand should be cupped within the right hand if you are male, and vice versa if female, forming a perfect circle. Sit down and then gently let your eyes close, and focus on your breath (in simple words, Void Meditation ritual 5). Let the salty air of the sea enter your lungs, let the essence of Dagon enter inside of you. Focus on your breath until to reach the void state, which is when you have emptied your mind, the state of consciousness that literally doesn't think anything. Let the Void consume you. When you have reached this state of consciousness then bring one clear thought...the purpose of the ritual(Void Meditation ritual 6). Focus on your goal, focus on why you are there. Do this for some minutes. When you feel ready hold the artifact with the sigil of the deep one you chose at your left hand, and chant "Gnaiih Dagon Y'ha-nthlei Fhtagn". For Hydra chant "Fhalma Hydra Y'ha-nthlei Fhtagn". Which they translate as:
Father Dagon sleeps in Y'ha-nthlei (Dagon).
Mother Hydra sleeps in Y'ha-nthlei (Hydra).
And then chant "Ia Ia Cthulhu Fhtagn".
Now you are ready to begin your ritual.
Go close to the water and throw a piece of bread to feed the fish.
[(If you are a worshiper of Dagon then open your hands and sing this hymn. If not then go directly to the prayer of Dagon/Hydra)
"Oh, mighty father from the deep, whose sacred oath we ever keep
Who brings the bounties of the sea in answer to man's solemn plea
To grant that we may dwell one day
Forever in Y'ha-nthlei
Oh, mother who with many arms enfolds and keeps us safe from harm
Who knows the waters' ebb and flow with ancient wisdom from below
Oh, grant that we may dwell one day
Forever in Y'ha-nthlei
Oh, fearsome Deep Ones of the sea, to you we pledge our loyalty
And if this oath we ever break, our willing flesh is yours to take
And thus we ever humbly pray
to join you in...
Y'ha-nthlei."
(Here are some links to listen to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNKvVKtyBic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPpG8v6FKJQ)]
Now say this prayer to Dagon:
"In thy name let us behold the father,
From the depths of the waters I come,
and from the depths the Deep Ones also have come,
Hail to the ancient dreams
Hail to Dagon".
If you chose Hydra, then say this instead:
"In thy name let us behold the mother,
From the depths of the waters I come,
and from the depths the Deep Ones also have come,
Hail to the ancient dreams
Hail to Hydra".
Take your knife and cut a bit from your finger and suffuse it at the item you chose as a sacrifice.
Take the rope you have tied your offering and start spinning it with your right hand. While you are doing this, think about your goal, think about the reason you are doing the ritual. When you feel ready spin it three last times and throw it at the water while chanting "Ia Ia Cthulhu Fhtagn".
When you feel ready to gather your tools and items, thank the god or goddess and leave.
(Note: If you are a deist then one thing I recommend is to ask Dagon to guide you in the occult, he will show nice things. To me was the nature of the Old Ones, and the way I see them.)
For the next few days don't think you did the ritual. Like it never happens. Forget about it. Let the cosmos do its job.
If your ritual is successful then congratulations. What you can do is go to your Devil's Reef and leave that statue you made for them as a thank you but it is not necessary.
If you won't use this temple again then as a thank you, you can leave the temple without destroying it, as an unknown temple of the Deep Ones. And this will spread their fame.
If you don't want to keep your temple after you succeded your goal, then just destroy the sigil from your Devil's Reef temple causes to exist.

THE END
This is it. I hope you will find it useful as it is the first ritual that I ever made.
Of course, this is not the only way to work with Dagon. But the term "work" is more for those who believe in the Old Ones literally. Of course, feel free to use this for inspiration. If you have another idea to add to your practice then by all means go for it.
Thank's for reading.

and through strange eons, even death may die.
