Humans are simply animals evolved. I believe what separates us from the rest of Earth's creatures is our ability to comprehend. When a deer is attacked by wolves, that deer does not know why this had to be, he has no idea of what other Earthly creatures make this world whole, but we, the homo sapiens, have the ability to comprehend; and from this comprehension, we have made tools, weapons, languages, cultures and religions of all kinds. I do believe that we have been given this gift for a reason. Perhaps it is to rise to god like rankings, or perhaps it is for no reason at all.
Whatever our purpose may be, I'd like to get more ideas on this. What do you think our purpose is? Do you think we all have individual destinies, or that we are all part of one big prophecy? Whatever you think. I'd like to know. All ideas are welcome here.
There is no purpose, all life seeks to survive and reproduce I leave a smmal poem of mine, "chaos everything is devoid of meaning death is allways waiting around the corner gazing at us from the void make the best of every day give meaning to the meaningless and revel in your insignificance"
I believe that as humans we got our ability to create and think on such a grand scale compared to the rest of the animals on earth was a sort of race, if we didn't evolve the way we did or as quickly as we did then it would most likely be apes who were the dominant species of the planet. And as for reaching god like status that depends really on what you call god because to the early man I'm sure he would see us as a god, we have access to an plethora of knowledge by tapping some glass, we have weird loud things that can kill in a second, we can travel faster than anything they've seen and we have giant flying metal birds we control and this is a tiny amount of things I could list. And im sure we would see future humans from billions of years from now (if they're still around) as gods too with whatever they have then, and with this in mind I embrace everything I have now, even simply typing this and thinking about how far we have come as a species is amazing, I'm literally talking to hundreds of people on this app by tapping glass... Saying it like that really makes me think what 'god' status means, is it just us being ignorant as to what we have or if we can reach a sort of God status where we may be able to create entire universes in the palm of our hand or something like that, or maybe something incomprehensible.
Greetings, You appear to be a person of questions and speculations, I respect that. The ability to ask questions and ones as big as yours are indeed something to think about. Personally, after joining The Cult, I believe humanity is insignificant on the cosmic scale. But that's also why I think we should take fate into our own hands and carefully craft our own future. If you want to further talk about things such as this, I recommend checking out the discord server. There is a link to it here on the website. It's a lovely place to talk to fellow cultists and learn more about us. As well as have meaningful conversations with like minded people. I hope to see you there :) -N'ythotep
