Fijnally we have a new forum to play on and we're all sitting quiet. Tsk tsk tsk, this simply will not do. I consider myself a Cthulhu priestess, I got into H.P Lovecrafts work at a young age (maybe 13?) and just got sucked right in - as we in the bidness say; "I heard the Call" ;)
I dabbled with other left path stuff - satanism, crowley, wicca, etc - but none of it really jived with me anymore after a while, try as i might it always came back to the cult.
Pretty much been following it ever since.
How long have y'all been in? :)
The Great Old Ones are beyond LHP and RHP, I have done so-called LHP Methods in India, but these differences do not really apply to the people using them, the aim is the-one-in-all all-in-one.
I have been on this path for a while now, but alone so far. I use guided meditation and dreamwork to connect with the current of The Great Old Ones.
I believe some systems are universal and work on their own regardless of where the focus is directed. Whatever systems are implemented, I am sure it will be something new and exciting to begin studying.
Hey guys. I am a big fan of Cthulhu and absolutely worship everything about him. I got into this because I thought worshiping Cthulhu was funny but then really got into the whole idea of him. Anyone want to meet up and have a sacrifice? I have the bible and know the rituals.
Hey Uberonn! (is your name related at all to the fact that ron means cult in r'lyehian??)
Yea I meddled with other religions too but none really felt right until i discovered the cult.
I was involved with the last cult (on proboards) but felt myself disappointed quite often, this one looks super promising!
Im so excited to read the bible of cthulhu too! I have a really good feeling about it :P
Nice to meet you guys! :)
Hello
I have been a practitioner of another religion since I was a child, but some time ago I started looking for another spiritual path because I felt that my previous religion no longer fit my way of seeing the world. I spent a lot of time researching many other religions and beliefs.
Last year I decided to start reading the works of Lovecraft and I heard The Call. I searched a lot of information about some real religion based on the Lovecraftian mythology but I could not find anything and I was disappointed, I believed that I would have to create my own cult. But about October I discovered the previous cult forums, I tried to participate but they were dead. And researching there I came to this site so I'm finally here.
So I am relatively very new in all this whole thing, although I have studied quite a lot about religions and left hand paths. I can't wait to learn from our brothers and sisters and start worship activities when we learn more about the Cthulhu Bible.
How do you commune with them? Do you have rituals?
Do you feel like theyve told you about everyone here? (And if so what?)
Hey Simon! :)
From what ive heard from wyntre when he and i have talked he also thinks that comparing "cthulhuism" with other left path religions isnt right. I think he calls it cognitive dissonance or something, youd have to talk to him but i agree that no other religion comes close to the purity that this one has.
Youre really puritan with this hey, you reckon that the old ones are real and thats that. Is there any room for you for people who believe in them metaphorically and use that to live better lives?
