Long time follower, first time poster here. I have been looking forward to this place opening up and then my laptop crashed, lost all my site information and had more life issues, accidents and job changes before I could fully renew my journey towards the Depths of Rlyeh and renew the quest and Call of Cthulhu.
I am a fully licensed Priest in the First United Church of Cthulhu and co-operate a local Grotto with another associate and fellow Priest. I more or less observed the previous incarnation with Venger Satanis and never came to a complete grasp with much of what was being "preached" in the original structure. I took issue with a lot of the teaching and approach. I do however wish to see a resurgence in the concept of the Viridian language system that was being formulated. It seemed applicable to a degree.
I am a dabbler of the Craft/Arts and an avid Ritualist. I look forward to learning, sharing and opening gateways to the aeons with all of you.
I see R'lyehian and it is nifty!
Hi Frater Chiasmus,
Thanks for dropping by. You and I share similar views, I think, on Venger Satanis. It is a shame.
R'lyehian is still in it's infancy, but it will be honed and perfected just like every other aspect of The Cult over the years. I'm glad it takes your fancy however,
Creative energies are prized very highly in the Cult, you should consider applying on our Work page to help the cause,
At any rate I would be interested in speaking with you about this First United Church of Cthulhu and your activities therein. Is it the same as can be found here?: http://firstunitedchurchofcthulhu.blogspot.com.au/p/certificate-of-ordination.html
Welcome to the true Cult Frater,
Ia Cthulhu,
Wyntre
Welcome frater! I never particularly understood Vengers teachings either, alot of it felt quite arbitrary almost un-thought out. There was a definite vibe of amateurity to it all. Like someone else in this forum said, this has every indication of being a far superior work. Thanks again Wyntre!
Yes! Khurt Khave founded it as a more Kaos current concept using and implementing a ton of modern archetypes for sigil workings and a hint of a Discordian flavor. The main objective was to establish an actual license for those who follow the Lovecraftian currents. It is actually a legitimate license, which has not had issues in all the States so far from what I hear. However, for those in the UK, I have no clue what or how to go about getting any legitimacy from a Church established in Arizona some recognition in British territory..
