Hello everybody,
I am French, so I hope you can understand my English rather well. I visited the website several times to know more about the Cult of Cthulhu, and now I just registered to be a member of this forum and to have some precious informations, I know the Bible will come soon.
I am 26 and I have a "classical" religious experience, with Catholics and Muslims. I am interested in occultism but I never experienced that. I am currently reading the Necronomicon, but I already read the bigger part. I fell in love with Lovecraft books, especially for his vision of dreams. I am classified as a "weird girl", and since I am little I always make nightmares. Treatments, doctors, it nevers goes away. Always nightmares, but always different ones. I don't know if it could be a sort of calling... Maybe ? I am classified with depressive and anxious troubles, but what if it was this reality which doesn't get on well with me ? Maybe I am supposed to discover a new point of view about life and its purpose. That's why I'm here, open-minded and curious to know more about this Cult.
Out of the various Necronomicae online or in book form I am assuming you are reading the Simon version? And, welcome to the tentacle-embracing arms of Cthulhoid Esotericism.
Thank you, yes I am reading the book form, Simon version.
The Simon version is based mostly on Sumero-Assyrio-Babylo-Chaldean deities dealing with Initiatory Gate Grades and some Crowleyian attempts to mask the Enochian Thirty Aethyrs in a Lovecraftian feel.
It is an amusing read but not full of much worth. I enjoy what has come from it with the sigils and all but overall Tyson the hack has more originality in his attempts at Dream rites and a three grade system. These of course are just my personal opinion and I am biased in my experiences.
Hi, I'm from France, too ! We'll live a great experience here.
