I'm new to this whole cult thing, but The Calling paragraph about the Called got me interested, since I've found myself in it. I tried making contact, calling Cthulhu, Nyarlathothep, but all I got is mist in my dreams, I don't even remember most of them. Why is that?

Welcome to the new movement of the oldest cult.
That paragraph is taken directly from the Bible of Cthulhu, if it resonate with you you have done very well to come here. Not many people understand or receive the Calling.
Some followers believe in Cthulhu and The Old Ones as mere archetypes for the human psyche and "soul", others believe they are actual entities living amongst the cosmos.
There are different approaches for contacting the Old Ones in both belief paths but first you must Ascend.
