Void Meditation is an essential ritual for any serious cultist, and requires consistent practice to achieve mastery. It also provides many opportunities to experiment on different ways to achieve a void state. We are curious as to what everyone has done to aid or alter their void meditation experiences, and what experiences everyone has achieved. Some examples include:
- any idol, alter, or setup used to assist in meditation
- any psychedelics used to meditate
- any specific or unique positions you enjoy for meditation
- any unique or surreal experiences you've had during meditation
- your favorite rituals
We are interested to see what unique practices have come about from void meditation, and what experiences cultists have undergone during meditation.
I normally sit on a red blanket on my knees with a timer set for 15 minutes on my phone Infront of me. The alarm is the "Ia Ia cthulhu Fhtagn" shout that goes from one guy saying it to a whole choir of people. I normally have my tentacle ring and my cthulhu pendant on my person or nearby. It helps to void meditate during or after midnight because then there is the least chance of light entering your room and there is little chance of any big noise. I.e. traffic or just talking.
I have only completed 3 void meditation sessions only because I have just started practicing void meditation 4 days ago and today will be number 4 I have be using it to start my day the past 3 days and have found it helps immensely with keeping myself on track with my day to day specially if I have focused on something in particular. I will be completing my void meditation tonight before bed tonight to see what kind of effects it has on my dreams I am going to be smoking a joint of cannabis (strain zittles)before the session begins to enhance the effect and mental concentration. In the mouths to come only after feeling I am ready I will also be trying small doses of magic mushrooms (strain B+)during longer sessions of void meditation. Hope this helps a little bit I know I haven’t been doing this for a very long time but I personally have found instant positive effects in my life because of void meditation.
Forgot to add have been doing 15 minute sessions and will be changing to longer sessions as time progresses.
I have a handmade mala I use to help me get into the mood of Void meditation. It is a 65 bead mala (64 + 1 guru bead), which fits as 8 x 8 is 64. I will start a sitting meditation with it, counting the beads from one end until I hit the other. This aids me in focusing my breath to a steady rhythm, without worry of counting.
When that is finished, I'll either keep sitting or lay down. I wrap my mala around both of my wrists and continue meditation as normal.
