If y'all remember my impulsive decision to post that post in Blog-Sthoth, you may also recall me mentioning how I believe void meditation and the Dreamlands go hand in hand. I would like to clear up why this is my belief, as well as briefly discussing my views on Pantheism. For one, I consider myself a Pantheist, however I also believe in the Gods we follow as a group. These archetypes that HP Lovecraft "created" are eerily similar to other religious archetypes we follow to this day in right-path religions. I believe that there is little difference between a Pantheist and a Deist, as the main difference between the two is the belief in one singular all powerful god. In The Cult, it's often we consider Azathoth as this being, however I believe in the concept that we are all fragments of Azathoth himself. Now, to my main point... When one Void Meditates, one gains access to a higher plane than that of which we can comprehend. Buddhist monks are able to access this state in a few seconds as they have practiced the art of Meditation. Personally, I believe Void Meditation is a way to speed up the process of proper meditation. With this in mind, let's consider what this higher plane is. I personally view this higher plane as the Astral Plane, or rather, The Dreamlands as HP Lovecraft would call it. Avid lucid dreamers are put into the Dreamlands against their will, and people dedicated to the art of Meditation know what I mean when I say you can access this plane through Meditation. What we are really touching is the Astral Plane. In a sense we are astral projecting to this higher dimension where the creatures of the Mythos dwell. I now open the floor to you fellow Cultists. Please leave feedback on your views in regards to this topic. I know there were people who were confused about how I connected Pantheism with Void Meditation, and I hope this forum post clears some concepts up that I neglected to include.
I will explain any questions even further if there is confusion in regards to my beliefs. I look forward to discussing this concept.

WOW my belief is actually very similar with yours.I consider my self as a both believer as I call it.And Yeah as I understood from reading our Bible I understood that the Old Ones dimension is actually the void.
I will explain how I see the astral plane and R'lyeh...
Astral plane as I know is an "ocean" of phylosophies, ideas etc. To this "ocean" exists some "islands" and these "islands" are worlds that beings/spirits/deities call as you want live there. So in my belief R'lyeh is one of those islands, forgotten and "sunken".
H.P.Lovecraft found R'lyeh when he was traveling to the astral plane/dreamlands and
found that "island" and he rised it.Now what Cthulhu rising is, personally I don't know yet but I think it is different to everyone. But many questions has not answered yet.
If we are insignificant why they are talking to us?
If we are insiginificant why they want us to be ascend?
But I am sure that there are still answeres waiting to be found.

I like that what you've shared it makes a lot of sense! I'd like to give my opinion on some of the questions you've pointed out. 1. Cthulhu Rising - I believe that Cthulhu Rising may be more of a world change than a literal awakening of some ancient God. I also feel as if some of The Great Old Ones, maybe even Cthulhu himself, are currently in the process of rising. That may be why we've all been feeling a slight weird shift in our daily lives this year. It could very well just be the "awakening" of mankind into true Chaos, and the Gods would've wanted. 2. Why are The Great Old Ones in contact with us? - I personally believe some of them don't control entirely who they contact. They may be in a constant state of dreaming, which is why we can only feel their presence through meditation or sleeping ourselves. We touch the reality they exist in and they show themselves to us unwittingly. 3. Why do they want us to ascend? - I don't believe that it's them who want us to ascend. Again, I don't believe they are consciously thinking about the human race when we contact them. It's just something that some humans do without realizing it. As far as ascension goes, I believe it's just something to prove your worthy enough to even be in contact with The Great Old Ones. Within the Cult we only want people who have their life in check first and foremost. This is to prepare our minds for if The Great Old Ones decide to rise again. It's a goal that we as Cultists establish ourselves. The "perfect self" is just an intention ritual made for you to think about and aim toward every time you wake up in the morning I personally and currently struggling with my ascension, as I know many are as they get caught up in small nuances of the Cult. In the end it's about focusing on perfecting yourself, whatever that may mean to you. For me personally I'm focusing on my mental well-being more than anything else. Some of us need to focus on certain aspects of ascension more than others. Ascension means something different for each individual Cultist. I hope this helped in some way to give you some perspective on how I view things. This is not necessarily the "correct" answer, as none of us have the truly correct answer aside from The Great Old Ones themselves, and those (Such as Wyntre) who have been studying this type of stuff for years. Even in that regard we all have things we can learn and strive to understand. This is just my personal view on the questions you've provided. Ia Ia, Cthulhu Fhtagn! ~Dove - granyth'fhalmanug
@Kdove And I agree to many of them to me Cthulhu rising is very close to what you said. Now about the third thing you said. Actually did they called us to ascend? But seriously I wish you good luck with your mental well-being.For example me this year I have to focus on my studies because of National Exams.
