Iä Brothers and Sisters.
Since having answered the Call i've decided to educate myself and have grown interested in H.P Lovecraft's writings.
I remember many years ago seeing an episode of "Supernatural" which to my recollection covered H.P actually seeing and communicating with the beings he wrote of, hence the reason he was able to create and portray this universe in such an elquent and detailed way, but do correct me if i'm wrong, it has been many years.
Long story short, i decided to read a book for the first time in years and picked this beauty up. What do me fellow Brothers and Sisters think of the mythos?
That is not dead which can eternal lie,

Looks great,Is it the complete works of lovecraft? Is there anything else?
No, this is only the Cthulhu Mythos, there are other Lovecraftian stories that don't form part of the Mythos, and are therefore included in this edition.
Many such as myself choose to read the Mythos as nothing more than what Lovecraft admittedly intended them to be: fiction. Yes, the work is self-fulfilling in the sense that agreeing with it's plots proves the plot's existence (i.e. Lovecraft had a dream about Cthulhu -> Lovecraft writes The Call of Cthulhu which states Cthulhu communicates his existence through dreams -> Cthulhu communicated his existence to Lovecraft in that dream), but as is allowed in the Cult I prefer to observe the Old Ones as ideas and their stories as philosophical pondering. It should be reminded, however, that so long as the universe is infinite than there is equal opportunity for either branch of reality: worship however you wish.
