Good evening, fellow siblings.
After our weekly reading of HP Lovecraft's stories, this week was to read, "The Dunwich Horror". I noticed there were R'lyehian text and had decided to translate them. I had the assistance from FullMetal, as well.
Note: This translations were taken into literal stances from what fragments are gathered in the dictionary. I apologize if there are any incorrect translations, and would be happy to accept correct translations. These were translations are done to the best of our ability.
Wilbur Whateley's last words:
Original: “N'gai, n’gha’ghaa, bugg-shoggog, y’hah; Yog-Sothoth, Yog-Sothoth. . . .”
Translation: "???, Death, Go (to) realm of darkness, Amen; Yog-Sothoth, Yog-Sothoth..."
The voice from space:
Original: “Ygnaiih . . . ygnaiih . . . thflthkh’ngha . . . Yog-Sothoth . . .” “Y’bthnk . . . h’ehye—n’grkdl’lh. . . .”
Translation: "I, father... I, father... (?) And ... Yog-Sothoth..." "My body... It's integrity-???"
The screaming from the Dunwich Horror:
Original: “Eh-ya-ya-ya-yahaah—e’yayayayaaaa . . . ngh’aaaaa . . . ngh’aaaa . . . h’yuh . . . h’yuh . . . HELP! HELP! . . . ff—ff—ff—FATHER! FATHER! YOG-SOTHOTH! . . ."
Translation: "My body... It's integrity... Help! Help! Father! Yog-Sothoth!"
I hope this was helpful to some if you. What do you take from these incantations? I would love to hear your thoughts.
