The goal of every follower of the Cults teachings is to attain ascension.

Ascension is the attainment of perfection.

Cthulhu embodies the rise of the titanous self from the seas of obscurity and self-barrier to god status.

Apotheosis through self re-creation.

Cthulhu is often depicted as inherently evil, but this could'nt be farther from the truth.
Cthulhu is amoral, with an ethic that transcends conventional notions of good and evil.
In most belief systems man's significance in the universe is validated by his connection to divine agents with similar moral values.
This is a fallacy.
Common human laws, interests and emotions have no validity or significance in the vast cosmos-at-large

As Cthulhu is predicted to rise from the great abyss, so his followers shall rise through Ascension.

" ... Ascension begins with admitting your desire for Perfection.

Christianity has expertly hammered this desire out of most people from an early age in order to benefit it's own ends, but it is human instinct to want to become the Alpha, to imagine and desire themselves as the most perfect version of themselves possible and, if strong enough, to seek out the means to achieve it.

Ascension is the means.

Power, self-creation, self-perfection, intensification of will and purpose

this is all gained through Ascension.

After admitting that you desire perfection the next step is the admittance of inferiority - as a race to the cosmos and as a being to yourself.

Only when we strip our own selves down to the core can we begin to recreate ourselves and attain Ascension.

It is not an easy task.

To rebuild one must first destroy.

Every Priest of Cthulhu has attained Ascension and every true follower of Cthulhu strives for Ascension.

It is the goal of The Cult Of Cthulhu.

To have mastered this is to have Ascended."

The is a brief overview of Ascension

Ascension takes real work and serious work on oneself.
You are going to have to be willing to push your boundaries far beyond comfortable levels.

You'll need to question yourself,
your established belief system and
your perceived reality

in order to begin to make change in your life through the continuance of the Work and void meditation.

If you are ready to let go of everything you think you know about reality and ascend then perhaps you are ready to join The Cult of Cthulhu.

If not... Perhaps a different path is better suited for you.
